Did you know that your transmission requires services just like your engine? All OE manufacturers specify maintenance intervals that should be followed to get the full life out of your vehicle. Keeping up with services prevents premature wear and and breakdowns, and will save you money in the long run. Ask us about our recommendations for services based on your vehicle and how you use it.
Fluid and/or filter changes benefit your automatic transmission by keeping all the moving parts lubricated and all of the wear material out.
We remove the transmission pan (when applicable) and inspect the contents of the pan to look for any warning signs of troubles. We clean all internal magnets, replace the internal filter and replace the fluid with premium parts and fluids to maintain your vehicle factory warranty, or to keep you on the road.
When your transmission has gotten older, some models require adjustment of the bands to compensate for wear. We can inspect, adjust and offer advice on how to get the most out of your aged transmission. Some times, a shift kit can increase the life of the transmission substantially, and we are happy to offer our experience to keep you on the road. Ask us about details.
These transmissions in your Nissan, Chrysler, Ford and Subaru need service on a regular basis to prevent damage and extend the life of the transmission.
Service these transmissions every 15,000 to 50,000 miles, depending on the vehicle.
Heat kills these transmission quicker than normal automatics. Some CVT's such as the Jatco that comes in the Nissan Rogue benefit from cooler installation to extend the useful life of the fluid and in turn, life of the transmission.
When maintenance isn't enough and your CVT has failed, we can replace with OE or aftermarket units and give you a good warranty to match.
Manual transmissions require maintenance just like all gear boxes.
Service these transmissions every 30,000 to 60,000 miles, depending on the vehicle.
As your clutch wears, sometimes a quick clutch adjustment can bring your clutch pedal back to a newer feel. If your pedal is too low or high, we can check and adjust on many vehicles.
Clutch fluid has a usable life, just like your brake fluid. Keeping the gunk out and keeping fresh fluid in will extend the life of your hydraulic clutch system.
